Beyond the noise

SonaVow Studios is a South African AI music artist project created and directed by Jaco Vermeulen. Working in Afrikaans and English, the project turns personal experience, emotional pressure, identity, faith, loss, fire and hope into songs that feel visual before they feel finished.

Jaco leads the human creative direction behind every release — the concept, message, lyrical direction, vocal direction, arrangement choices, visual world and final story. Artificial intelligence is used deliberately as part of the production process, helping him explore voices, textures and sonic possibilities that would normally require a much larger studio team.

The result is not anonymous machine-made music. It is a carefully directed artist project with a recognisable emotional fingerprint: cinematic alternative sound, bass weight, unusual production, intimate low moments and sudden high-impact vocal lifts.

Each song lives inside a wider world of artwork, teaser films and storytelling. SonaVow is built for listeners who feel deeply, rebuild quietly and still choose to move forward.
